Barbie’s Family Tree – Who’s She Related to?
The Barbie family tree has grown rather big over the years. The Barbie doll family started in the 1960’s and seems to grow with every era of Barbie’s that go in to production. Not only did Barbie’s family grow, but so did her number of friends and her families number of friends. The Barbie collection has become quite extensive. With all the names, babies and kids that have been produced it is hard to know who is part of the original Barbie family. So who is in Barbie’s family tree-who is she related to?
The immediate family prior to 1992 was Barbie and her sister Skipper, and twin brother and sister Tutti and Todd. The family after 1992 is Barbie, sister Skipper, twins Tutti and Todd, and baby sister Kelly. Following is a list of the dolls made during various time periods. After each name is the years of production and then the relationship of each doll to Barbie.

Barbie never did have any children. Those babies were always siblings. Except Tutti and Todd, they are only in a view collector’s hand as they were not available very long. Barbie sure was a good sister to her other young siblings. Â
Over the years Barbie did have thirty-eight recorded pets. Amongst some of them are cats, dogs, horses, a panda, a lion cub, and even a zebra.  With all over her sisterly love, love for pets and that long term relationship one would think Barbie would be in line to have a baby. Pretending Stacie or Kelly was Barbie’s daughter is a favorite past time of many young girls.  Perhaps Mattel has never had it in the marketing cards for Barbie. Actually, with all of those glamorous wedding gowns there was never a report of a wedding between Ken and Barbie. Ken has always been referred to as the boyfriend. With the recent break up between she and Ken, babies may not be in the future for Barbie’s family tree.
